Welcome to the internet home of the Cecil Township
Volunteer Fire Company No. 3. The Cecil VFC is located in Washington County, Pennsylvania, about 25 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.
Cecil is bordered to the North by McDonald, to the south by Canonsburg Borough, to the west by Mt. Pleasant Twp., and to the
east by South Fayette Twp., Allegheny County. We are dispatched on frequency 151.430 by the Washington County 9-1-1 and
we are Engine Company 10. Since we also occasionally work with departments in Allegheny County we have an Allegheny County

NATURE OF ALARM: Assist 12/Possible Structure Fire
LOCATION: 224 Center Avenue, McDonald
UNITS RESPONDING: Cancelled
SUMMARY: Engine Companies 12 (McDonald), 10 (Cecil 3), 13 (Midway), 41 (Mt. Pleasant), and 267 (South
Fayette-Sturgeon) were dispatched to 224 Center Avenue in McDonald for a possible structure fire. Chief 12 (Cooper Jr.)
arrived on scene and reported a light haze inside the structure. Upon further investigation the source of the haze was found
to be burnt food. Chief 12 requested all mutual aid to cancel, 12 equipment to proceed in for ventilation. All 10 equipment
returned to service without further incident.
